Arts Education at THCA
The THCA values arts education for the enrichment of the lives
of our students, audiences and community.
Offering a broad range of educational presentations, the Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts continues its commitment to enriching the lives of children and adults through its School Time and Family presentations.
Our goal is to make the performing and cultural arts accessible, informative and as enjoyable as possible for the audiences in our community.

Support Educational Programs at the THCA – Roger and Gail Arrowsmith Education Enhancement Fund
Support arts education in your community. Donate to the Gail and Roger Arrowsmith Education Enhancement Fund. Established in 2006, this fund helps offset the cost of tickets and supports educational enhancement programs in both the visual arts galleries and theatres at the THCA. Donations are accepted in any amount and are tax-deductible.
Field Trips to the THCA Calling all teachers, the THCA invites you to book your next field trip to one of the School Time presentations.

- School groups may reserve for performances starting Monday, August 17, 2009.
- Each teacher attending receives two complimentary tickets.
- Payment for reserved tickets is due in full one month (30 days)
before the performance.
- All School Time presentations are accompanied by educational
resources that can be downloaded at www.THcenter.org or requested when reservations are made.

Storyteller Theatre with Tony Walsh
THCA Executive Director Tony Walsh brings stories and children’s
literature to life with his delightful reading and interpretation of both classic and contemporary tales.
Reading the books that have inspired the productions in this season’s School Time and Family presentations, storyteller Tony Walsh and his box of stories will visit Clay County classrooms.
