Molly Hatchet secured their legacy in both Southern Rock History and the Hearts of Southern Rock Fans everywhere, with their unmistakable legendary sound and iconic homegrown hits such as Flirtin’ With Disaster, Whiskey Man and Dreams I’ll Never See.
Now, four decades later and still rocking the world, Bobby Ingram, John Galvin, Phil McCormack, Tim Lindsey and Shawn Beamer are bringing their hit filled heritage of southern rock greatness back home to Jacksonville to celebrate their 40th Anniversary Tour.
Special Guest Brett Myers – After rocking it on Major League Baseball mounds for 11 years, Brett Myers is now rocking it on the stage with the perfect combination of Southern Rock and Country. Brett, growing up in Jacksonville says, he writes and sings about what he knows and Brett knows the down to earth, have fun, I love my family and my country kind of life.
Releasing his first album Backwoods Rebel in 2015, Brett gained an instant following with his songs such as Black Creek, Kegerator and Yoga Pants. He followed with his second album Brett Myers, You’re Welcome in 2016 and his recent release Rattlesnake featuring Colt Ford will undoubtedly leave you rocking in your seats wanting more.
The excitement of the evening will begin with the high energy Southern Rock Sound of Second Shot Band. Brother to Molly Hatchet Founding Member Dave Hlubek, Second Shot Band’s Lead Vocalist and Founder Paul Axtel, literally grew up with the deep rooted rhythm of southern rock flowing through his veins.
Second Shot Band has been rocking the stage with their original sound since 2013. The release of their first CD, “Loaded” in 2015 literally “shot” the Second Shot Band to new heights with their original songs such as Empty Promises and I’m A Rebel and was voted 2015 Best Live Band by Jacksonville Magazine.
Second Shot Band Members Paul Axtell, Tom Schaller, Greg Cuje, Jimmy Sexton and David Feagle, will rock the stage with their raw energy, loud and proud Southern Rock sound.
Pink Paisleys, an all-girl band hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, boasts some of the best female musicians in the area. The sassy, edgy style of Suzie Farrell, Cyndi Fletcher, Sarah Ingram and Vanya Thompson will keep you on your feet!
Proceeds from this event will benefit, St. Michael’s Soldiers, the Homegrown Kindness Project and the Ben Zirbel Family.
