FEES AND DEPOSITS
| To book an event please contact our staff who will coordinate/reserve your date as well as provide you
with the required agreements and information.
In order to retain an event booking a signed Reservation Agreement must be received within five (5)
working days of booking. The signed agreement may be mailed, faxed or emailed. The THCC also requires
a Lessee to pay a 50% deposit for all suite fees within five (5) working days of signed Reservation Agreement.
All deposits and fees are payable by check (made to SJR State), credit card or money order. The
remaining balance is due 15 days prior to the event. If the booking is made within 15 days of the event,
the entire amount is due at time of the booking. This agreement is not transferable.
Nonprofit organizations are eligible for a 20% discount on their suite fees by showing documentation provided
by the Internal Revenue Service stating their status, for example, Letter 1045. Those patrons who
are exempt from paying sales tax must provide a Consumer's Certificate of Exemption, Form DR-14.
| The THCC requires a Lessee to acquire and submit a Certificate of Liability Insurance to show they have
in force bodily injury and property damage liability protection in an amount not less than $1,000,000
combined single limit and indicating St. Johns River State College as an additional insured for the date
and duration of the event. Individuals or companies that do not have this insurance may purchase liability
insurance through the college's Florida College System Risk Management Consortium. Costs vary, depending
on the category of the event.
If the Lessee opts to acquire his or her own insurance, the Lessee must deliver a Certificate of Liability
Insurance to the THCC at least ten (10) days prior to the event.
HOURS OF OPERATION
| The Conference Center is available from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday. A half day
rental constitutes up to four (4) hours, and a full day rental constitutes up to eight (8) hours. Any event
exceeding the reserved time will cause the Lessee to pay a $100.00 per hour charge. If an extension of the
contracted reserve time is required, it must be requested in writing five (5) days prior to the event date.
Additional space is subject to availability and the ability of the conference Center to provide the necessary
FLEXIBLE CATERING OPTIONS

The Thrasher-Horne Conference Center works with a variety of caterers, giving you the flexibility and control
as well as competitive pricing to meet your specific needs. Our recommended caterers provide a wide
range of services from snacks or light hors d' oeuveres to themed dinners or award-winning barbecues.
If you prefer to use your own caterer, all that is necessary is to provide a copy of their business license
and a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming St. Johns River State College as an additional insured on
the date of your event. In addition, you and your caterer will need to sign our Thrasher-Horne Conference
Center Catering Policy.
If alcohol is planned for your event, a copy of the appropriate liquor license and liquor liability insurance is
required. You will also need to complete a THCC Alcoholic Beverages Policy Application. Upon approval, the
Lessee assumes full responsibility for complying with the state of Florida's liquor laws, local ordinances and
other laws and regulations as may be applicable to the event.
